I’m Dr. Gaurang Patel, the founder of Colonia Pediatrics, and I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to welcome you to our practice. With over 20 years of experience in treating newborns, adolescents, and young adults, my journey has been guided by a deep commitment to compassionate care and a dedication to supporting families in our community. Since opening our first clinic in 2002, I’ve had the privilege of seeing our practice grow from a single location to five thriving clinics across Central Jersey. We’re proud to serve families in Avenel, Perth Amboy, Edison, Elizabeth, and Metuchen, providing top-notch pediatric care to our valued patients. Our clinics are affiliated with esteemed hospitals such as St. Peter’s Children’s Hospital and JFK Medical Center, ensuring that your child receives exceptional care through our strong network of professionals. I’m Dr. Jigisha Chaudhary and I’m delighted to welcome you to our practice. With 20 years of experience in pediatrics and a special focus on child development, behaviors, and mental health, I’m passionate about supporting the growth and well-being of each child we see. Together with my husband and co-founder, Dr. Gaurang Patel, we’ve had the privilege of growing this practice from its inception in 2002 to a thriving network of five clinics across Central Jersey. Our journey as a husband-wife team, along with raising our own three children, has enriched our understanding of the developmental and emotional needs of children from infancy through young adulthood. We are proud graduates of UMDNJ, Newark, and deeply committed to providing comprehensive care. Outside of the clinic, I enjoy painting, dancing, and hiking—activities that keep me inspired and balanced. Thank you for choosing Colonia Pediatrics. Dr. Gajula graduated from Rangaraya Medical College in 1978 and brings decades of experience to Colonia Pediatrics, having joined the practice on May 1, 2024. Prior to this, he worked at OPTUM, where he honed his skills in pediatric care. Residing in Freehold, NJ, Dr. Gajula enjoys spending his free time on the golf course, reflecting his passion for the sport. He is dedicated to providing compassionate care to children and is committed to supporting families in his community.

Dr. Choksi graduated from Wright State Pediatric Residency in 2021 and joined Colonia Pediatrics in 2023. Prior to this, she gained valuable experience working in a private pediatric practice in Ohio. Now residing in North Brunswick with her husband, Dr. Choksi enjoys reading and baking in her free time. With a commitment to providing quality care, she looks forward to supporting the health and well-being of children and families in her community.

Dr.Questelles graduated from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 2010 and has been with Colonia Pediatrics since the acquisition of Linden Pediatric Group, where she has worked since 2013. She has dedicated her career to pediatric care, having joined right after completing her residency. Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, Dr. Questelles now resides in North Jersey with her husband and two children. In her free time, she enjoys working out, exploring new restaurants, and spending quality time with her kids at their various activities. She is passionate about providing exceptional care and support to families in the community.

Dr. H. Patel graduated from Saint George's University School of Medicine in 2018 and joined Colonia Pediatrics in 2021. He finds great fulfillment in treating a diverse patient population and collaborating with fellow pediatricians to provide comprehensive medical care for children. Residing in Robbinsville, NJ, with his wife, who is also a pediatrician, and their two children, Dr. H. Patel enjoys spending his free time exploring his creative side through cooking and making cherished memories with his family. He is committed to supporting the health and well-being of children in his community.

Dr. Nimma graduated with an MD in Pediatrics from UMDNJ in 2002 and joined Colonia Pediatrics in 2014. Prior to this, she gained valuable experience as a hospitalist at Clara Maass Medical Center and as a primary care pediatrician at Plainfield Health Center. She resides in Edison with her two children, one of whom has graduated college, while the other is currently pursuing their degree. In her free time, Dr. Nimma enjoys dancing, practicing yoga, and traveling. She is proud to be part of a state-of-the-art facility with highly experienced doctors dedicated to providing exceptional care to families and their children.

Dr. Dubbaka graduated from Kakatiya Medical College in India and completed her pediatric residency at Lincoln Medical Center in Bronx, NY. In her free time, Dr. Dubbaka enjoys practicing yoga and mantra meditation, reflecting her commitment to wellness and mindfulness. She is dedicated to providing compassionate care to children and supporting families in her community.

Dr. Ayyanathan graduated from Madurai Medical College, India, in 1974. After 40 years of running a private practice in Elizabeth, New Jersey, where she had the privilege of caring for multiple generations of families, Dr. Ayyanathan joined Colonia Pediatrics in 2021. It’s been an incredibly rewarding journey, and she takes great joy in providing compassionate, personalized care to all patients. At this point in her career, Dr. Ayyanathan finds herself seeing children from families that she has treated for decades, now entering their third generation. For Dr. Ayyanathan, it’s all about building relationships and being there for families in every stage of their children’s lives. Outside of work, Dr. Ayyanathan enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with friends. She currently lives in Scotch Plains, New Jersey, and is a proud mother and grandmother of a beautiful daughter and a wonderful grandson.

Dr. N. Patel graduated from MP Shah Medical College in Jamnagar, Gujarat, India, in 1968 and joined Colonia Pediatrics in 2014. Prior to this, he owned a successful pediatric practice since 1974. A dedicated pediatrician, Dr. N.Patel has a deep passion for helping parents raise happy and healthy children, easing their worries along the way. He enjoys playing tennis and listening to Hindi music in his free time. Dr. N.Patel is a proud father of three daughters and looks forward to providing compassionate care to families in the community.
